TVC was the first Veterinary office opened in Marietta, GA. in 1943. There is a reason why we have been around so long.
TVC today in 2009, after 66 years of service. We're still here!
The Veterinary Clinic of Marietta, GA., was established in March of 1943, by Dr. John T. Riddle, Sr. Dr. Riddle was a native of South Carolina. He graduated from the Auburn School of Veterinary Medicine. He was asked by the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce to come to Marietta and start a large animal practice, because dairy animals and beef cattle were being raised in the area for the war effort. When he came to Cobb County, Dr. Riddle was the only veterinarian in the county and one of very few in North Georgia. He built the first full-service animal hospital in the state of Georgia. At its inception, the practice became a mixed one, catering not only to all the dairy and beef cattle farms in the area, but also to all pet owners.
In 1975, his son, Dr. J. Thad Riddle, joined the practice after graduating from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Riddle, Jr., purchased the practice from his father in 1979, and has continued in the same location to this day. In 1998, The Veterinary Clinic opened an additional location on the west side of Marietta - The Veterinary Clinic West.
